More than  a  campaign, Before It’s Too  Late  became a  movement—a  voice for students, a  mirror  for educators, and a  megaphone  for change.
— Coach Jaleesa

The Before It’s Too Late movement was birthed out of tragedy and purpose. It was inspired by the heartbreaking death of Delaware student Amy Joyner-Francis, who lost her life after a violent attack by fellow students inside her high school bathroom. Deeply moved and outraged by the incident, Coach Jaleesa took to social media to speak out—launching the viral #BeforeItsTooLate Facebook Challenge.

What began as a single video soon became a national call to action. The challenge encouraged individuals—especially those with influence—to raise awareness about bullying and school violence before another life was lost. Hundreds of people across the country responded, posting their own videos using the hashtag#BeforeItsTooLate and sharing messages of hope, accountability, and change.

Fueled by the overwhelming response, Coach Jaleesa transformed the momentum into a nationwide tour. The Before It’s Too Late Tour visited schools, churches, and community centers in 37 U.S. states and Canada, equipping young people with tools to build self-worth, resilience, and respect. Through raw storytelling and relatable dialogue, Coach Jaleesa created safe spaces for youth to confront pain, ask questions, and choose healing over harm.
